The chicken, yams and cabbage were delicious. 10/10. The chicken had the perfect crunch and seasoning. The yams are the perfect sweetness, not too sweet. Cabbage was amazing and tastes like grandma made it. The ribs and corn bread were dry. Get the chicken for sure

I am from the south and let me just say that this is amazing fried chicken! The employees were nice and helpful. Order in the back, let them know what sides you want as you progress towards the register. There were like 2-3 seats inside, but some tables outside. Highly recommend getting the chicken "smothered" but the gravy on the side. The chicken stayed crunchy by the time we ate it (30 mins later) and wasn't soggy at all. That gravy though... that gravy sticks to the chicken when you dip it and is so delicious! The collards were great, the mashed potatoes were good, the macaroni and cheese had good flavor but was too dry for my liking. The cornbread was huge and so good! Note/Tip: if you have a large order and you're not eating there, bring your own bag(s). The bag handle broke for the person in front of us and ours broke after about 5 mins of walking. Luckily we brought our own bags and just transferred the contents.

The chicken is good , I purchased the 10 piece family meal that comes with six cornbread pieces and three large sides for you to pick from . The total was forty two dollars and fifty cents . The service is pretty much to go, there are only three stools inside the place and it's kinda hot inside , the service was also fast and friendly . Worth a try no doubt about it .

(This review is for delivery, which came fairly promptly.) We ordered the 3-pieces of chicken as well as the 2-pieces that come with ribs. Sides: yams x 2, collard greens, and Mac and cheese. These came with cornbread. And we got a banana pudding. The chicken was pretty delicious -- my order had 1 breast, 1 thigh, 1 wing. Loved the batter. Thought the bird was still nice and moist. For me, this is the classic fried chicken, so thumbs up. The ribs were good too -- nice little kick of spice to them. The meat fell off the bone. I thought the cornbread was pretty good too. Cornbread can go wrong in a lot of ways -- often it's too dry. But this was also moist and not too sweet. I wasn't that impressed with the sides, however. The collards were okay. The Mac and cheese was fine. But the yams -- damn they were soooo sweet. Almost inedibly so. Banana pudding isn't my thing, but the husband loved it. This was a lot of food for two people -- that is, two entrees and a dessert -- and I'm happy we'll have this again as leftovers tomorrow for sure.
